Newman Real Estate Announces Final Phase Closed on Wade Park
Unprecedented Luxury Urban Retail Development underway in Frisco’s $5 Billion Mile.

Frisco, Texas, November 2, 2015: Newman Real Estate today announced the closing of the final phase of Wade Park. Newman Real Estate in Frisco assembled the 175 acre tract for the Atlanta-based Thomas Land Development to create one of the largest Premier Urban Retail centers in the United States, which will total over $1.6 Billion dollars in development. Located along the east side of the Dallas North Tollway south of Lebanon Road, Wade Park will be a major piece of the $5 Billion Mile in Frisco. Currently announced Wade Park tenants include Whole Foods, Hotel Zaza, Langham Hotels, iPic Theatres, Pinstripes Bowling, high-end restaurants, retail, entertainment, offices and residential projects.

Jim Newman, of Newman Real Estate brokered the land deal for the project, which was comprised of land from the Wade Family estate. Newman said “Having sold and developed land in this city for over 30 years, nothing in North Texas comes close to this development. The Frisco Economic Development Board was fully vested in this project and it has the full backing of the City of Frisco, which has made a great partner in providing something of such quality for the community.“ The Wade Park site had been a part of the Wade Family land since the 1800’s and they have waited until now to fully develop the 175 acre site. Jim Newman added, “It was difficult selling the family land, but we found a partner that we could trust to build something that will be exciting, innovative and will be appreciated for generations to come. Thomas Land Development is one of the finest developers in the United States and we couldn’t be happier.”

Construction is already underway on the project and is scheduled to open its first phase in 2016. Wade Park currently includes 2 luxury hotels, over 600,000 square feet of luxury retail space alongside restaurants and dining options. The retail space and entertainment options are accompanied by 1,300 multifamily units and over 6 million square feet of office space, which helps meet the growing demand for Fortune 500 companies who are relocating to North Texas.
